Original antique bed

A very impressive large size original antique bed c 1900, beautifully decorated
with inlayed motifs and quality carving. this bed is made of walnut and has a
very rich colour.
The unusual convex carved panels made the bed very difficult to photograph due
to light reflection but it is a beautiful bed and it is rare to find in this
size.
The bed will take approximately a 5 foot 6 wide mattress and has been converted
to Victorian side irons so will take a full 6 foot 6 long mattress or even
longer if required.
Price includes a new upholstered bed base and we can supply a range of top quality mattresses see mattresses we have special rates for mattresses supplied with beds and do not charge extra for special sizes please contact us for details.
Condition Report: The panel on the foot board has split in the past this has been professionally restored, it is not structural but is still visible under certain lighting we have tried to show this in the photographs below. There is a slight dent on the head board again shown below. Beds of this age are seldom perfect and overall the condition is very good.
